Yay! Today I received a Yellow Wallpaper Wallet I spotted it over at Oh, Hello Friend which had a great deal. I’m very happy I discovered this great Etsy Shop and the very talented Erika Aboites who makes great wallets/clutches/handbags and totes. Read more about Erika Aboites and her shop over at Nuok.it

I’m now using this wallet and it is so comfortable and large that everything fits and is easy to find. I get a lot of stares and even had two compliments on it from people standing behind me in line while shopping. It has a perfect vintage yet modern feel to it and the fabric is nice and sturdy.

Visit from a Lady Bug

A few days ago my parents came to visit and I got beautiful flowers from my mother, all hand picked from their garden. Today I was taking pictures and something caught my eye…. A tiny Lady Bug was walking around between all the flowers. So cute. I had to take some pictures and share. I wonder if the Lady Bug has traveled with my parents from their garden.

As I hear and have read Lady bugs or ladybird beetles bring good luck.

Many cultures consider Coccinellids lucky and have nursery rhymes or local names for the insects that reflect this. For instance, the Turkish name for the insect is uğur böceği, literally meaning luck bug. In many countries, including Russia, Turkey, and Italy, the sight of a ladybug is either a call to make a wish or a sign that a wish will soon be granted.

While it was very silent here on the blog. It has been a fun and busy ride over at the shop. I have had a deal with Heartsy.me and sold a lot of vouchers for a huge discount to spend at XOXII | Shop in celebration of my One year shop anniversary. Which has resulted in days of packaging orders and post office runs. While orders keep coming in I have been working on new pieces and a lot of new ideas. And one of the things very high on my list is updating my blog more regularly. Because when I look back at the past couple of months there are a whole lot of interesting things that would have made great, informative and inspiring posts.
